Before launching Good Ask, Bruno worked as Vice President for Philanthropy at The Miami Foundation (2022-2023), where he led Give Miami Day, one of the nation’s most significant 24-hour annual giving events, raising $32 million to support more than 1,000 local nonprofits. Before The Miami Foundation, Bruno worked as CEO of TECHO-US and Chief Development Officer for TECHO International (2019-2022), a nonprofit organization dedicated to building homes for impoverished families across 18 countries in Latin America and the Caribbean. At TECHO, Bruno founded “The Empathy Pact,” a global movement that raised over $1.6 million and supported more than 1 million people affected by COVID-19 in Latin America and the Caribbean. Before TECHO, Bruno spent over two years as Chief Purpose Officer at Galapagos (2017-2019), creating purpose-driven content and partnerships to help raise funds and awareness for leading social entrepreneurs globally. Before Galapagos, Bruno spent a decade working as Global Director of Ashoka (2007-2017), launching and managing global programs and strategic partnerships to help scale the impact of a network of 4,000 leading social entrepreneurs in 90 countries. His professional experience also includes two years as Coordinator of the Outside Interests Division at Johns Hopkins University (2005-2007) and seven years as a corporate attorney (1998-2004).
Bruno holds a law degree, a Master’s in Organization Development from Johns Hopkins University – Carey Business School, and certificates in nonprofit management from Johns Hopkins University and Harvard Business School.
